Sui Generis Wiki

Exanima's armor is procedurally generated, much like the weapons in Exanima. There still remain a handful of armor pieces that are not procedurally generated and it is not known if the developers intend to move these items to the procedural system.

Procedural Armor[]

Procedural armor utilizes a pool of armor components, qualities, and conditions. These attributes are not completely random and every loot table in game has weights for quality, condition, and component selection. This means that the armor you find on Story Mode Level 1 will be poor quality, condition, and made of cheaper materials such as cloth and leather. The armor available on the later levels is of higher quality, generally in better condition, and use materials like steel plate and chain. While Quality is an unchangeable stat, Condition can be improved with the use of Spheres. These descriptors describe a numerical value assigned to the armor. Armor close to the line between two descriptors may appear as one or the other when you click open the description. Armor can be "thick" or "tough" which are modifiers that add defence at the cost of encumbrance, as well as "light" which does the inverse.
